Financial Score Batch
The score data type supports batching across symbols. Pass a range of ticker symbols into a single SF call to return Altman's Z-Score, Piotroski F-Score, and the underlying metrics for multiple companies at once, with one row per symbol. The call counts as 1 data call per 10 symbols, rounded up.
Batching limits by plan: Financial Score is not available on Basic. Investor supports up to 2,000 symbols per batch, and Analyst and higher plans support up to 5,000.
=SF(symbolRange, "score", metrics, "", options)symbolRangeis a cell range containing ticker symbols (e.g.,A2:A11). Horizontal ranges work as well.typemust be"score".metricsselects what to display. Leave blank or use"all"for every score and metric, or chain metrics with&, e.g.,"piotroskiScore&altmanZScore". See Financial Score for the full list.yearmust be left blank. Thescoredata type does not use a year argument.optionsadjusts the formatting of the output."NH"removes header rows and"NLI"removes line item labels. Chain options with&, e.g.,"NH&NLI".
Tips:
Output rows follow the input order, so row 1 of the range appears first. Duplicate symbols keep their position in the output.
Symbols without score data return blank values instead of an error.
ESG uses the separate
esgdata type and does not support batching across symbols.
Examples
Example 1 - All scores for a watchlist
=SF(A2:A11, "score")Example 2 - Chained score metrics
=SF(A2:A11, "score", "piotroskiScore&altmanZScore")Example 3 - No headers and no line item labels
=SF(A2:A11, "score", "all", "", "NH&NLI")For general batching mechanics and other batchable data types, see Batch symbols to reduce formula calls.
