Change a template's ticker and inputs
Type a new ticker into a template's ticker cell and the whole template reloads for that company. Each template's description on the Templates page names its ticker cell, for example B4 in the WACC calculator.
Change the inputs
Cells you're meant to change are highlighted, usually in yellow with blue text: the ticker, and assumptions such as a risk-free rate, a scenario or a margin of safety. Everything else is calculated from them.
Tickers use the same format as SheetsFinance functions, including exchange suffixes for listings outside the US. See Symbol formats and exchanges.
Dropdown cells offer a fixed list of options, such as Bear, Base and Bull scenarios.
Watchlist and comparison templates take a list of tickers in a column. Add or replace tickers within that column.
Keep result areas clear
Many SheetsFinance formulas return a block of results that fills the cells below and to the right of the formula. If you type into that area, the formula can't fill it and shows #REF! instead.
Clear the cells you typed into and the results come back. See Fix common spreadsheet errors for more on this error.
Refresh the data
Templates load live data when they open and whenever an input changes. To update them on demand, use the SheetsFinance refresh options: see Refresh.
